These Mustangs were able to rest in their stables until 10:00am this morning. This extra rest preserved their energy for skating later in the day. Mustangs aren’t known for their skating skills, but they gave it a try anyway. After their delicious breakfast, their English lessons, and their tasty lunch, we headed off to the Calgary Olympic Oval – a skating facility used during the 1988 Winter Olympics. For many of the students, this was their first time lacing up some skates and gliding their way across the ice. Their inexperience with skating didn’t stop them from having an incredible time in an amazing facility.
After overcoming the challenge of skating for the first time, the Mustangs were excited for another Swiss Chalet supper. Tonight we enjoyed a mouthwatering Chicken Stir Fry paired with either fries or a garden salad.
The Mustangs continued to have fun while practicing their English skills with an entertaining Casino Night. This was an opportunity for the Mustangs to gallop their way into some fancy clothes. With the money they won during Casino Night, the students were able to purchase some Canadian memorabilia prizes.
Today was a very fun and eventful day! Camping is fast approaching and we’re getting very excited. Only a few more sleeps!
