The students and teachers were treated to a nice sleep in today! As everyone rose feeling well rested and content, breakfast was a peaceful affair. After a wide assortment of foods - waffles, bacon, eggs, toast, bagels, and fruit to name a few - all students split into their classroom groups and went off to lessons.Straight after the last pen and notebook had been put away, everyone put on good runners and headed out on the days activities. The first stop was to grab lunch, consisting of pasta, pizza, fruit salad, caesar salad, or fries, before starting the trek to item specific grocery stores. At these stores, students purchased the ingredients for International Supper. After a beautiful walk through Calgary, everyone returned to SAIT. All country groups split into different rooms and started their preparations. As a medley of smells started to drift into the hallway from each room, the finishing touches were being put on their masterpieces.Everyone gathered on the fifth floor after all the beautiful dishes had been displayed. Each student took a little food from each country and got to share in the culture of their friends. The sound of clattering forks was dimmed by the laughter and conversations emanating from each student. After cleaning their cooking rooms, everyone travelled across the street to where a karaoke machine had been set up. Students got to participate in leading or helping their friends in singing their favourite songs.[AFG_gallery id='545']
