Chinook Winds-July 16-2013
Another hectic day for the Chinook Winds. A morning of classes followed our breakfasts. One of our teachers made bread pudding, but students were too skeptical to try any of it. Too bad for them! After this morning’s classes and lunch, we all headed out to the Southland Leisure where we engaged in a fast-paced game of basketball. The game brought out the best in some of our athletes, and the likes of Laura and Roberto from Spain, Andy from Taiwan and Aniela from Mexico proved to have secret basketball skills. Roberto truly lived up to his Chicago Bulls uniform. A round of badminton followed the basketball game and then we all made out way to the leisure centre’s pool. Waves and diving boards and ropes swings were how we rounded out our day; Cedric and Antoine were doing full-on flips off the diving board! We finished out day out with a pasta dinner at Boston Pizza. Most of our group were bewildered by the root beer, which is not a beer at all but a pop. Nobody was quite able to describe the taste of root beer, some thought it tasted like candies, or chewing gum. Nonethless, it was shared, our pasta dinner was eaten and we returned home.[AFG_gallery id='66']
