Chuckling Bison - July 29, 2015 - Dynamic Lessons & Relaxing at the Chinook Centre!

In classes today, the students did a tonne of different activities:

- Analyzing song lyrics and breaking them down into their parts of speech
- Describing movies and having others guess which they're thinking of
- Creating their own fictional country, including deciding on their government
- Discussing the cultural importance of dancing and learning a Canadian line dance
- Continuing their conversation about dating in their countries

We had several other teachers helping out today, which explains the amazing variety of lessons the Bison enjoyed today! Always dynamic here at Wynchemna.

Because we had such a full and fatiguing day yesterday, we figured that today we would switch speeds. We took the C-Train (Calgary's public transportation) through the city centre and disembarked at Chinook Station - home of one of the area's nicest malls! The students have been wanting to go shopping for a while, so we obliged them.

And to cap off the night, we all enjoyed a movie at a swanky Cineplex - either Minions, Inside Out, Paper Towns, or Jurassic World. Then, laden with shopping bags and with good memories from the cinema, we returned back to SAIT and awarded Student of the Day to Birthday Tony (Xingdong). He was very chatty yesterday during our hike and exceedingly considerate today - helping Hank walk and carry his purchases, and also by ceding his seat to an older lady on the C-Train! Without being asked to! Great job, Tony; you're wonderful.

Yay!
