Today’s day began earlier than most here at Wynchemna, an eventful day started rather ordinary. The students enjoyed a quick breakfast and lesson, as most were pondering over what they were going to buy at West Edmonton mall later in the day.One cannot blame them for their excitement, an opportunity to see the biggest mall in North America does not happen often. After three English lessons, the students gathered on the bus to begin a long but rewarding three hour journey up the province to head to Edmonton. Anticipation and excitement was certainly in the air, as many of the students were frequently discussing the type of clothes they wanted to buy, and what they wanted to see at West Edmonton Mall. Once the students finally arrived, it was a quick lunch at Canada’s own Harvey’s burger and fries, and then they were off to do some shopping. Some of the students did not need to spend their entire day shopping and instead headed out to the water park at the mall to enjoy some exciting water slides and wave pools. Despite not being able to see the entirety of the mall, the students were able to buy some wonderful clothing, and most were exhausted after a long day of gift shopping. The students then enjoyed Vietnamese sandwiches, some Tim Hortons donuts, and finally arrived back in Calgary to head to bed after a draining day filled of shopping and fun.[AFG_gallery id='411']
