Humming Owls- July 1st- CANADA DAY!!!

Today was Canada Day, which automatically meant an awesome time for everyone involved, especially here at Wynchemna! We started off the day with a classic Canadian bacon breakfast. Next we had some very engaging lessons learning more about Canada, and also it’s multicultural roots. In that same spirit, we had a scrumptious Shawarma pita wrap for lunch with ice cream too! A main attraction on Canada Day is definitely a visit to Prince’s Island Park. So we packed our snacks, drinks and sports equipment and headed out for a fun yet relaxing time. We played games in the large fields, suntanned by the green Bow River and explored the markets and vendors.

Back at SAIT we cooked dinner together in our apartments. Some groups cooked pasta, pizza, salad, Spanish omelets, among other things. So everyone was well fed. Finally, we had the chance to watch some beautiful Canada Day fireworks! What a great way to end the night!

 We can’t wait to head out to Banff tomorrow and hike up the dreadful Sulfur Mountain![AFG_gallery id='124']
