Humming Owls - July 9, 2014 - STAMPEDE!

Howdy! With no lessons today, we started our day super early enjoying a continental buffet breakfast outside to be energized for the long day ahead at the famous Calgary Stampede! We hopped onto the train and arrived at the gates of the Greatest Outdoor Show in the World!In the morning we split up into 4 groups going around to the events and attractions. Extreme roller coasters, spinning towers, amazing acrobats, delicious fair food, and of course, cowboys and cowgirls were everywhere! For lunch we all gathered together for hotdogs in a Western village-like place called Weadickville. The students really enjoyed the afternoon freely exploring the stampede in groups on their own.We wrapped up the exciting day taking it low-key in the evening - grocery shopping, cooking supper, and laundry.
