Gnawing River Beavers - July 5th, 2017 - Sunshine, Splashing and Sports!

The Gnawing River Beavers had an activity-filled day today! After morning lessons and lunch we hit the water to try canoeing - most of us for the very first time. It was sunny and hot, the perfect weather for splashing around in the water and trying out a new activity. After paddling around the beautiful Calgary reservoir we walked over to the park to play ultimate frisbee and baseball. The students had lots of fun and got plenty of exercise running around playing sports. We had some really great teamwork and everyone enjoyed learning the rules to these two popular North American games. After relaxing for dinner, we headed back to campus to participate in a Loose Moose improvisation workshop hosted by Sean. We played drama games, got out of our comfort zones, laughed, got silly and had a great time together. Sean especially taught us to not be afraid to make mistakes and to be brave and take risks, which is so important when trying to learn a new language![AFG_gallery id='578']
