Migrating Pacific Salmon - July 28, 2017 - Vancouver Art Gallery, Paintball, and Capture the Flag

The students started their morning with the most important meal of the day, breakfast! Today the cafeteria had potatoes, eggs, cereal, and pancakes with maple syrup. Shortly after breakfast, the students loaded the bus and made their way to the Vancouver Art Gallery. To celebrate Canada being 150 years old, the gallery included the Monet Secret Garden exhibition along with paintings from the Canadian artist- Emily Carr. The students also saw a collection of photographs by other Canadian artists. For lunch we walked to the Pacific Centre nearby, where the students chose over Japanese, Canadian, or Chinese cuisine. We wasted no time, and took the bus to Lakeshore Paintball. We put on overalls so we would not get paint on our beautiful clothes, and masks to protect our faces. Once our paintball guns were loaded with paintballs, the games begun! Their first mission was to eliminate everyone on the other team, and the second mission required the students to touch the black suitcase hidden on their enemy's territory. If that didn't bring out the competitive side of our students, Capture the Flag at night surely did. The students had so much fun protecting and stealing the flag in the forest. We ended the day with a birthday cake because it was one of our student's birthday! Happy Birthday Ludovica! Tomorrow the students get to sleep in and will have breakfast at the Vancouver Farmer's Market![AFG_gallery id='679']
