Singing Water Loons - 26 July 2017 - The O-LOON-pics

Today we Loons stayed in our nest, the SAIT residence. As usual, our unusually fun, dynamic lessons filled our morning. Then after a lunch beside the university library, our students felt scholarly, ready, maybe, for even more lessons.Us teachers wanted to give them, but even though we were staying at SAIT, our Loons had a busy day. Today's tent day, where the students get into their groups for our soon coming camping trip.For each tent to be most comfortable, its inhabitants need to be quite close-knit. Though we Loons have been learning and laughing together for two weeks, there's nothing that brings people together quite like creativity and competition - today we had both!In the afternoon, the Cougars, Beavers, Caribou, Coyotes, Gophers, and Foxes created beautiful posters, catchy songs, and tremendous t-shirts together.Later, after the students used their shirts, posters, and songs in a Wynchemna classic: the tent games. A glorious event, not so different from the olympics - maybe even the O-LOON-pics - we Loons played some wet, wild games together. The winners were almost forgotten in a wicked water balloon fight as the events ended. Still everyone knows, it was the Gophers with their slogan: "Gopher it!"[AFG_gallery id='665']
