Singing Water Loons - July 14, 2017- Stampede Breakfast and Kensington
Day 3 already! Today we got up early to head to Downtown Calgary to take part in our first Stampede festivity - Stampede Breakfast! We got to experience line dancing, live country music and Sofiann and Ivy got to judge flapjack flipping and cowboy hat stomping contests. A few students were also interviewed for the radio, how fun!We had our first three lessons today and met our new classmates. We had a lot of fun getting to know each other and practicing our English. After our classes, we got into our breakfast groups and went to explore Kensington. Each group tried something different for Supper, some tried classic Canadian poutine, others had burgers and a few of us had a picnic in the park. After our food, we all gathered in the park to play soccer, frisbee and volleyball. We hung out, sang along to our favourite songs and made new friends. Some of us even competed in a push up competition while others played group games. When we got back to camp, our student of the Day was announced. Today's student of the day was Kiki! Kiki spoke a lot of English and made a lot of new friends. She was also very helpful and participated in every activity. Congratulations, Kiki![AFG_gallery id='613']
