Singing Water Loons - July 17, 2017 - Canoeing, Baseball & Rollerskating!

Today was jam-packed but tons of fun! This morning we cleaned up and got ready to move rooms before another fun English lesson. We had a delicious lunch at Happy Hut before heading off to go Canoeing. We learned how to paddle straight, backwards and even how to turn the canoe around. We had so much fun trying to coordinate with our partners, racing one another on the water and exploring the Calgary reservoir in our canoes. After canoeing we had a snack in the park and checked out the amazing view of the river. We then got ready to play baseball! We made two teams and everyone had a chance to step up to bat. We got a little competitive, but had a fun time.We then headed to Denny's for dinner. We had a wonderful supper while getting to know each other. After supper, we walked to Lloyd's for rollerskating! It was like going back in time to the 80's. There were flashing neon lights, a disco ball and music. Some of us were pros and helped out the others by pulling them along the rollerskating track. We had so much fun trying our hand at rollerskating, even when we fell. After this long day, we were happy to return home and hang out with our friends before bed.Tomorrow here we come![AFG_gallery id='624']
