Soaring Horned Owls - August 3 - New Students, Shopping, and Bingo!

Another great day has passed at Wynchemna! Today, the Owls woke up in their new rooms, and enjoyed eggs, waffles, toast, and yogurt among other things.After breakfast, the students had one last lesson in their current classes before the arrival of the new students. They learnt about personality, did brochures about their countries, as well as learnt about food and the different food groups.Students slowly arrived throughout the day, and joined the current group. Following a delicious happy hut lunch, the students prepared to go to the mall.A scenic walk through downtown Calgary led us to the Core shopping mall, where the students shopped, and spent lots of money. Some students bought lipstick and makeup for MAC and Sephora, and one student even spent $450! Some others bought clothes, while some bought jewelry.The students then walked back to campus, where they met a bunch of new students! After a subway meal, the new Owls group played bingo to get to know each other! Lucas from Germany emerged the winner - and won a great prize of two chocolate bars!We are looking forward to a full day as a big group tomorrow![AFG_gallery id='840']
