Splashing Snapping Turtles - August 2nd, 2017 - The Tortoise and the Hare Race

Today, after a delicious breakfast, we enjoyed our morning lessons. After talking about food, restaurants and camping, we headed down for our lunch and the turtles ate well to prepare themselves for their afternoon. With the last lesson over, we prepared our rooms for the new friends that were arriving today, and then headed out for the Great Calgary Race!The race started at SAIT for the turtles, but the real fun started once we got downtown and started orienting ourselves using Calgary landmarks. We visited so many part of the city looking for clues and completing challenges! Our race ended at the Old Spaghetti Factory, where we had supper and met our new friends who had just arrived. We got to know them, and then headed home after an amazing supper of spaghetti, salad and ice cream. Our friends got to do their check-in and meet their new roommates before heading to bed so that they can be well rested for tomorrow's fun activities.[AFG_gallery id='707']
