Stomping Striped Porcupines July 23, 2018 – Baseball, Canoe and Campgames!!!
What a super and eventful day for the porcupines! The day started with a delicious breakfast full of eggs, bacon, fruit, waffles and toast. Next, we gathered in our classrooms and learned many new things. Once we were finished with our lessons, we prepared to go canoeing and to play baseball! Batter up!We made our way to Glenmore Resevoir, and enjoyed the breathtaking view! Half of us learned how to play baseball, and the other half of us learned how to paddle and steer in a canoe. It was not always easy to balance and to coordinate with our canoeing partners; but, we had a blast splashing each other and laughing. Meanwhile, the other half of the porcupines cheered for each other even when we missed the ball! We planned on switching activities, but a very heavy storm surprised us and was approaching quickly! We ran for shelter and spent some quality time together until the bus arrived and rescued us!We enjoyed a tasty supper at Denny's! Chicken burgers, broccoli and cheese skillets, poached eggs, and blueberry pancakes were on the menu, and the porcupines savoured every bite!Once we returned to SAIT, we were put into our camping groups to participate in a competition! We created interesting songs and dances, and put our heads together to design T-shirts and posters for our teams! What amazing teamwork!!!Tomorrow we are ready for movies, popcorn, and shopping! =)[AFG_gallery id='792']
