Whistling Sea Otters - Road Hockey & Granville Island - July 30 2014
Today we played a great game of road hockey across from our residence at UBC. Everyone was split into four teams and switched in and out while perfecting their stick-handling. There were a number of great saves, but even better goals across the board, with competition getting fierce into the last final minutes.Afterwards we visited Granville Island, an historic site that is nestled between downtown Vancouver and the neighbourhood of Kitsilano. We visited the art and cultural shops along the streets, but couldn't resist buying some fresh fruit, donuts, and pastries from local growers. For supper we visited a Canadian & American institution for ice cream: Dairy Queen. We had a nice meal that included a Blizzard, a milkshake twisted with ice cream and any number of different creams, sauces, and toppings to refresh us after a long sunny day![AFG_gallery id='203']
