Wild Roses - August 10 - 2013

Today at Wynchemna the students got to experience many new things! Immediately after breakfast the students went down to the SAIT arena to try out Ice Hockey. Granted the students played in their running shoes rather than skates, but that just meant that the games were all the more entertaining, as the students slid across the ice while swinging at the pucks. Afterwards we calmed down a bit with afternoon lessons. Once lessons were over, more novelties awaited our brave young campers. Today was the International Supper! Each country group chooses two cooks and two dishes from their country. The cooks then have to teach a team of students from around the world how to cook their national dishes. An evening of frantic cooking later the students got to enjoy the fruits of their labour and devoured the tasty treats devised by their classmates. After everything was cleaned up, we then all headed out to do some Karaoke! The students started off a tad awkwardly, but once they got the hang of it they were belting out songs so loudly they no longer even needed the microphone.
