Today started out like any other day at Wynchemna. After a delicious breakfast cooked mostly by the students, everyone enjoyed their morning English lessons. It seems like more and more students are taking control in the kitchen each day!The afternoon went by so quickly. The students were able to further practice their rock climbing skills after another visit to the Calgary Climbing Centre. They courageously conquered the 40 foot climbing wall - as they were now experts - and some even tried bouldering for the very first time. We swiftly transitioned over to the popular sport of golf as we ventured to the local driving range to learn how to hit golf balls. One unsuspecting individual nailed a 300 foot long shot - was it your child?!?It seemed like the day was winding down, although the students were shockingly energetic when the teachers surprised everyone with an extravagant casino night in the residence. The competition between students was fierce. Casino night was concluded with an auction that involved students bidding for 'top tier' prizes. As teachers, we were all thrilled to see cooperation between students when prices were high, as many pooled their winnings in order to share the mystery prizes. The day was long although students once again fell asleep eager for tomorrow's adventures.[AFG_gallery id='502']
