Yelping Red Foxes - Scavenger hunt, English Exam, Swimming, Bowling - July 20th, 2016

24 hours before, each student sat with their packed bag, saying their goodbyes to their family and friends. 12 hours before, the students arrived in Calgary. At 8 AM most of the students lay awake, excited for their first full day in Canada.After breakfast the students wrote the english exam. The exam is used as a benchmark to measure their improvement at the end of camp.After the exam students embarked on a scavenger hunt across campus. Among the 15 items the students had to find, the winning team found 12 items.The students experienced their first happy hut lunch and hopped on the bus.The students arrived at the bowling alley and quickly changed into their bowling shoes. Pins flew as the students racked up strikes and spares. At the end of the hour, the winning team was decided. Noah, Jenny, Wei, Lee, Andreina, Tim and Eve.Once the scores were tabulated, the students got back on the bus and headed to the swimming pool. Once the students jumped in; the pool was full of water and laughter. It also featured two water slides, a wrecking ball, a wave pool, and a diving board. The Students splashed around and worked up a hunger.Dinner was held at Vanelli's Italian restaurant. Once dinner was over the students walked the 10 trip back to SAIT, taking in the sights. Once they returned Rodrigo was awarded student of the day, for being helpful, outgoing and speaking English with everyone.The students happily went to bed, surely to dream about all the fun they will have in the next 4 weeks.[AFG_gallery id='467']
