Kickball, Rollerblading, and Bombalicious Burritos
Hey Squirrel-friends! Today was an awesome day that featured activities no other Wynchemna group has done this summer. We started off with some great classes. Teachers Zeff’s group did a blind trust-fall lesson where one student was blindfolded and the other student had to give directions on how to get from the SAIT dorms to the soccer field. After lessons, we had some delicious steak and fries! Next up we hopped onto the bus towards the baseball field where we played the Canadian classic: Kickball. The game went to 4 innings and team Zeff took a 18-6 early lead. However team Hannah prevailed as the clawed their way back into the game and tied up the score in the 5th 22-22. Team Hannah was last to kick and they scored 3 massive home runs to end the game 26-22. After such a competitive match, we took to the skating rink to turn back time to the 70s where students danced away in roller skates. Even though it was the first time for many, students were skating laps and tried to groove to the music. With so much physical activity and fun, we worked quite an appetite! We walked through Triwood and stopped a well known food truck for dinner. Collectively, we decided for some tasty authentic Mexican food. Students chowed down on their burritos, tacos and enchiladas. We finally made our way back to campus but managed to play a quick game of volleyball. This all culminated with an intense game of Mafia led by Hannah. Great memories and adventures!
