Juniors - The Great Calgary Race
Today the Juniors started their day with a much needed sleep-in till 9:30! We then had breakfast in our usually breakfast groups where we learned about the rules for the Great Calgary Race! After that we had our first two lessons. Following that we had lunch at Carl’s Jrs where we had fantastic burgers and chicken! We followed up that with our last lesson of the day. In lessons today we learned about music theory, onomatopoeia and more!
In the afternoon we heading out for the Great Calgary Race. We were split into our breakfast groups and had a big scavenger hunt throughout downtown Calgary! We saw the Calgary Tower, the Olympic Plaza, City Hall, the Peace Bridge, China Town, Devonian Garden and Stephen Avenue. The weather was perfect for it as it was one of the hottest days yet this summer!
All the groups met at Rajeet’s to end the night with Indian food. We had a buffet dinner with Tempura, Paneer Makal, Naan, Rice Pudding, Butter Chicken, Chicken Curry, Samosas and Daal Makhni. We then returned to SAIT after a long day in the sun for end of day announcements and some well deserved sleep. Today was a very exciting, story filled day and we can’t wait for tomorrow in which we go to West Edmonton Mall!
