Rock Climbing, Ultimate Frisbee and Talent Show
Today was an action-packed day for Wynchemna Campers. We started the day off with three ESL lessons before setting off on an exciting adventure in the afternoon where students alternated between two intense activities. To finish off the evening, students prepared for a special event later this summer.
The first event was a visit to Strongholds Climbing Gym where students learned how to use a harness and perform proper rock climbing techniques. It was an informative experience intended to lay the groundwork for our future climbing expeditions. Some students even discovered that they possessed a hidden talent for rock-climbing!
The second event was an intense game of Ultimate Frisbee. Students practiced proper techniques before breaking off into a fun series of games and challenges.
After dinner, students gathered together to prepare for the Wynchemna talent show. Students created their own Internationally mixed teams of students in order to prepare a variety of acts, from musical performances, to magicial acts, to art exhibits and forming their own dance troops. Wynchemna students showed us just a sliver of the incredible performances that we have to look forward to, later this summer.
Before the end of the night, students were offered a chance to visit “The Bank”, an opportunity to take out money before our trip to Chinook Shopping Centre tomorrow.
