serving up and swinging with volleyball and golf

Our day started off with a hearty breakfast of bacon and eggs, cereals, yogurt, and orange juice before our morning lessons. In lessons, students were taught about goal setting, giving advice, and got to be creative with making postcards. Lunch was served in the SAIT cafeteria featuring an array of choices from beef, potatoes, corn, rice, and chicken sandwiches. After lunchtime, it was third-lesson time with more fun and engaging activities.

Later the real fun began with volleyball as our first sport of the day! At the volleydome, we perfected our volleys, serves, and passing with drills before we played some competitive matches. The volleyball arena was filled with laughter, cheers, and passion for the sport!

Second, we made our way to the golf course to practice our swings at the driving range. Students were taught the correct way to grip a golf club, the perfect stance and how to gain momentum while swinging. Then, we competed against each other in an international golf tournament to see who had the best drive from the tee. Students blew the teachers away with their strength and form as they hit the ball with great accuracy and distance. We crowned two winners with chocolate bars for their amazing skills then headed to dinner at Boston Pizza.

At Boston Pizza, we dined on pasta with marinara sauce and garlic bread featuring great company as we all sat as one big family.

To end the day, we practiced our routines and acts for the talent show! We cannot wait to see what everyone performs for us tomorrow night!
