The Calgary Stampede

Today was the big day. It was time for the Calgary Stampede! This is one of Calgary’s biggest festivals, celebrating the heritage and traditions of Calgary. Tens of thousands go to this event so we were excited to be part of the hype. After a quick breakfast we headed downtown to the Saddle Dome, where we spent the morning going on all the awesome caarnival rides to beat the lines. After a nice vietnamese sandwich lunch, we enjoyed some of the awesome shows including the motocross show, the rodeo, and most cutely notably, the dog show! After all of the wild cowboys and straw hats we took the train back to SAIT to end the day with a lasgna supper and three fun english lessons!
