The Great Calgary Race!

Today our students became true navigators and adventurers! Our day started with a delicious breakfast, and everyone sharing all they bought at the mall yesterday. Some people bought lego, shirts, shoes, and even a skateboard. It was great to see everyones different interests come out in their shopping styles. We travelled around in four groups on a mission. They were given an intense list of places to find around downtown Calgary, and some tasks to complete. We found China Town, Princess Island Park, Studio Bell Tower and many many more! Some of the tasks were dancing with a stranger, getting a strangers life story, take a picture with the bear, and find a fortune cookie. The biggest trick of it all, the students were completely in charge! The teachers walked behind and had the students work together. They asked all the friendly Canadians they met if they needed help and direction, and included them in all their fun tasks to complete. After many hours of fun, we all walked to our favourite restaurant, Rajdoot, for a little taste of India! The students were tired after such an adventure filled day, but they were all so happy with all they accomplished. Off to bed now, tomorrow is going to be so busy… it’s our last day before camping!
