Today ROCKED and ROLLED

Today was a hot one at Wynchemna! The sun was shining and we took advantage by heading outside after our lessons and a delicious lunch to hit the driving range. During our golf lesson, we learned about the different kinds of clubs, how to correctly hold the ball, how to hit the ball and even had a competition between boys and girls to see who could hit the ball the furthest! Alex, Vit, Vanessa and Zoe won! After golf, we headed off to the cool air conditioned Stronghold Climbing centre. Here we strapped on our harnesses and got ready to rock climb. We learned how to belay, the lingo that accompanies rock climbing and buddied up to try our new skills. To our surprise, we could easily reach the top and conquer our fear of heights! Some of us even ventured to the harder courses and made it up the walls that had harder obstacles!

After our climbing adventure, we headed off to Boston Pizza for a delicious pasta supper. We were so hungry after our day in the sun! Upon our return, we quickly got dolled up and headed off to the famous Wynchemna Casino! Here, we tried our luck at blackjack, spoons, poker, uno, BINGO and Roulette. With our winnings we were able to buy ice cream floats, ice cream sandwiches, chips and pop. After our night came to an end, we were able to use our winnings to bid on the auctioned off Canada prizes. We won things like blow up globes, large Canada flags, scarfs, stickers, post cards and a one of a kind Wynchemna camping t-shirt! With heavy eyes and full hearts (and nice tans from today’s sun!) we headed off to bed knowing that tomorrow was our first sleep in day, yippee!
