Kayaking, Baseball and Late Night Improv Lessons
It was an action-packed day for the Hippos, filled with exciting activities and memorable moments! We kicked off the day in our breakfast groups, where lively conversations set a cheerful tone.
In today's lessons, we explored Canadian cultural heritage unesco sites, theoretical road trips across the country while delving into major historical moments from each other's cultures. The students found the lessons both informative and thought-provoking, sparking great discussions.
Afterward, we headed out for some kayaking! The students learned various paddling techniques and mastered quick turns, culminating in an exhilarating race that brought out their competitive spirit.
Our next adventure took us to the baseball field, where we honed our throwing and hitting skills. The games were intense, with plenty of home runs and spectacular catches!
For dinner, we visited Denny’s, where everyone enjoyed a delicious variety of dishes, including skillets, club sandwiches, nachos, chicken sandwiches, and the classic English breakfast.
The day wrapped up with a Loose Moose workshop, where we delved into the basics of improv comedy. The students learned not only the fundamentals of improv but also some valuable life lessons, like embracing their unique perspectives on the world. With an early start tomorrow, everyone headed to bed with smiles on their faces, ready for the adventures to come.
