Volleying, Golfing Bobcats!
It was a scorcher today in Calgary as the Bobcats took to the city to enjoy some good old fashioned golf and volleyball. Before the the athletic officially began, we sharpened our language skills by engaging in spirited debate, pitching our inventions, and discussing various conceptions of ghosts from our different cultures.
Our camp split up for an extended experience playing either volleyball or golf this afternoon. At the Volleydome, teams faced off in fierce tournament full of laughter, bumps and sand. When the tournament had been decided, we cooled down with a refreshing run in the sprinkler. Meanwhile, at Confederation Golf Course, students competed in the 25th annual Wynchemna International Golf competition to determine who can hit the ball the farthest. Our overall winners were Yoshito from team Japan, Adela from team Czech Republic, and Elvin form team Taiwan.
In the evening, we came back to SAIT to cook supper in our apartments and begin planning for our talents show. It’s shaping up to be a really great show!
