Wynchemna's Day of English, Eats, and Entertainment

Our day began with eggs, bacon, and bagels for breakfast, providing us the energy needed for the engaging lessons ahead. Today, students worked on storytelling and continued to improve their English skills.

After our lessons, we headed to the SAIT cafeteria for lunch, choosing from a variety of delicious meals; such as, steak, poutine, and spaghetti. With our stomachs full, we set out on an exciting grocery shopping adventure. Students split into groups and prepared to cook meals from different countries.

Armed with shopping lists, we navigated the aisles, practicing our English skills in a real-world setting while picking the freshest ingredients. Back at SAIT, the kitchen buzzed with activity. Each group took over a section of the kitchen, chopping, stirring, and sautéing. The air was filled with the tantalizing aromas of diverse cuisines. It was a wonderful sight to see everyone working together, sharing cooking tips, and tasting each other’s dishes.

With our bellies full and our hearts content, it was time for the evening’s entertainment: karaoke. The dining room transformed into a lively stage. Everyone took turns at the microphone, singing our favorite songs and dancing to the tunes. The laughter and cheers filled the room, creating an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie.

Before the night ended, we gathered around tables, choosing from a variety of games that catered to all interests. From strategy games to word games, there was something for everyone. The room was filled with animated discussions, laughter, and friendly competition.
