August 3rd 2016, Welcome New Students!! - Bugling Woodland Caribous

As the students rose for breakfast, they knew that today was going to be a busy day. The students finalized their move to the eighth floor to allow for twenty five new students to join their camp.Following a delicious breakfast and three informative lessons, everyone walked throughout SAIT campus to arrive at its cafeteria to enjoy a delicious meal of either: Teriyaki, burgers, or pizza. After which, the students strolled back with full stomachs to prepare their bags for their first day of shopping in Calgary.With some new arrivals in tow, everyone walked to Calgary's beautiful downtown core. There students and teachers spread out and perused each shop inside the TD shopping centre. Wallets lighter and bags heavier, students weaved their way back to SAIT through gardens and across Centre Street Bridge. After offloading their new purchases, all the students, including the new students from China, France, Germany, Russia, and Taiwan, gathered in the lobby to walk across the road to have dinner outside.The sound of new friends being made rose above the clattering of utensils on plates. Once the delicious sandwiches, sushi, assortment of fruits and veggies, and chips and guacamole had been eaten, the teachers informed the students of their final activity of the evening - BINGO. This, however, was no ordinary Bingo. All students mingled around asking each other certain questions, trying to fill the 60 blank spaces with everyone's names. Five finished first and won a delicious cupcake!Tired and content, all the students walked back to their residence to sleep.To those who have just arrived, Welcome to Canada![AFG_gallery id='534']
