Grunting White Pelicans - August 2, 2016 - Playland and Gym time!

Today's morning started like many others with a shared breakfast in the cafeteria at UBC. After breakfast, students excitedly rushed back to the residence to start their lessons. Following three hours of learning English with their teachers, students headed to lunch to enjoy a meal to prepare them for the rest of their day!We all packed in the bus to go visit Playland at the Pacific National Exhibition. There, everyone explored the grounds to visit the rides and attractions. Some highlights were the Beast and the wooden rollercoaster! The thrills of the park light up everyone's faces with smiles and laughter as they rode. Afterwards, everyone headed back to UBC to enjoy some shawarma altogether. Then students headed to the gym to enjoy games like bench ball, kickball and age old favourite's like badminton and basketball.
