A morning of “Review”, but not in the sense of us going over what we’ve done over the past five fun-filled days at Wynchemna. Today, we learned how to write reviews, because we went to the movies, where we watched The Fault in our Stars and Million Dollar Arm.Here is a review that Ivy, from Taiwan, wrote about The Fault in our Stars:

Four Stars

I like the story in the movie because it is very romantic and I am touched by their love. The girl didn’t want to fall in love with the boy because of her cancer, but the boy didn’t mind at all. When they travelled together to Amsterdam, I just though that was true love. And I almost cried when the boy couldn’t buy cigarettes and was sent to the hospital . I was shocked when the boy was dead because I just tought the girl would die.

What I learned from the movie is that if someone loves a person very much, he or she will always be with the person very much, he or she will get hurt at last. I think the girl will remember all the happy memories they made together forever.

I also like the way they act. I just thought that it was a real story when I was watching the movie. The boy loved her deeply.

She seemed to love the movie! After the movie we went to the mall, but to get there, we let the students experience the C-Train. It was a bit confusing at first, considering we teachers, Maggie and Carlos, aren’t from Calgary, but the confusion was also kind of exciting (but tiring). We saw more of Calgary than we should have.Once at the mall, shopping was a blast. Some kids bought so many clothes, and one kid bought a baseball bat? It’s a great souvenir. In the evening we returned to SAIT, had our lessons and had a great family style dinner. In review, it was a good day![AFG_gallery id='205']
