Bellowing Buffalo - July 28 2014

Our first whole day together, and boy was it filled with fun. Not early though, because we began - after a great breakfast - with our placement exams. Some students were nervous, but that’s all part of the learning process.After the exams, we all deserved a trip to one of Canada’s teenager’s favourite spots: Starbucks. Then we enjoyed something people around the world do: soccer! It was hot, but everyone had fun.In the evening we ate at Denny’s. A staple of Canada and America. Then we did something special to Calgary: roller-skate at Llyod’s. There were spills and tumbles, but more laughter and smiles. The roller-skating went on for miles, and the fun went further.We had our first student of the day. Lukas deserved it. He engaged so fully in all activities and helped the beginners with roller-skating. He seemed to learn and have a lot of fun.The first day was a blast, and I know that I cannot wait for tomorrow, especially since we will be starting our lessons.[AFG_gallery id='194']
