Chattering Flying Squirrels - Lessons and Chinook Mall - July 20, 2016

After a 9 am breakfast, the students all headed off to their lessons. Today's lesson topics included a tourist/tour guide role-play where students received the chance to share interesting facts about their own country while learning about other cultures from all across the world. Other students completed a writing activity where they were asked to identify the most pressing issue facing their country and how they would solve it if they were president for a day.When the days lessons concluded students ate another delicious lunch catered by the Happy Hut. Then we headed off to the Chinook Mall where students were allowed the freedom to explore the many fantastic stores the mall has to offer. Many students were thrilled to find the perfect pair of shoes, stylish sweaters, and stunning dresses. Others spent their time watching entertaining movies such as Finding Dory, Independence Day, Now You See Me 2, and The Legend of Tarzan.At dinner time the students were treated to a healthy meal provided by Cultures. The choices offered included a wide variety of smoothies, panini sandwiches, wraps, soups, and salads. Everyone continued shopping for an additional hour after dinner. Then it was time to return home and rest in preparation for another exciting day of ESL summer camp.[AFG_gallery id='464']
