Chuckling Bison - July 23 2015 - Good eats and good beats

You want to take it easy on a mid-week Wednesday! WRONG! The Bisons had a jam-packed mouth-watering day! After the usual trio of lessons and lunch @ Happy Hut, they were organized in their country groups. Each group had the head chef and team members from other countries. Remember, the goal is for everyone to experience new things. For a group of only 30 students, we had a record-breaking 8 different country groups! That is the epitome of diversity!Next, the head chefs and their helpers went with teachers to buy their supplies for preparing the scrumptious meal. We even had a local Calgarian help the chefs of Japan, China and Taiwan assist in finding the more obscure things for their meals. (Look for a new face in the group photo in front of Tea Funny). After gathering the supplies, the chefs and the help began prepping for the meals. There was a lot of cutting and peeling, sautéing, frying, mixing and the required tasting! The teams also made flags for their countries that included the name of the dish as well. We gathered outside in the gentle sunshine to partake in this awesome Wynchemna tradition. That was some delicious eats! But, what’s a party without karaoke?! The group headed to the basement for the Bison Karaoke Extravaganza! There were few clear standout performances, including a dance-along to the Chinese song ‘Little Apple’ by Chopstick Brothers.Wasn’t that fun? It gets even better tomorrow! Come back and find out.[AFG_gallery id='310']
