Galloping Western Mustangs - July 20th, 2017 - Football and Dragonboating

Our first official day at Wynchemna and we're already having a blast! We started off the day making new friends in our breakfast groups, and then made our way outside to play some human bingo as a get-to-know-you game. We asked each other questions and found out some fun facts about all the other campers. Following that we had lunch and headed out to the Calgary Canoe Club where we dragon boated in two teams, most of us for the very first time. The venue was beautiful, crystal clear waters of the city's reservoir, surrounded by green grass and bright blue skies. We paddled and splashed in the water, which was perfect for cooling off on this hot summer day. After coming off the water we moved over to the grassy park to play some Canadian Football. We learnt the basics of throwing and catching the football and then everyone was tossing the balls around like pros. In the evening we went to dinner at the nearby mall and walked home. We wrote our English placement exam shortly after and then tucked away for a good night's rest to beat the jetlag![AFG_gallery id='637']
