Breakfast went as smooth as the Nutella the students devour each morning, along with glasses of orange juice filled with vitamin C. Us teachers even brought the students some fresh Canadian fruit, peaches, berries - blue, black and straw - our student's sure have their stomachs full! That's important, when our days are as full as Drumheller is with dinosaur fossils!Though Loons can fly, today we did some rock climbing. Taught by some of Calgary's strongest at Stronghold climbing centre, the Loons learned how to belay: to hold each safely as they climbed as far they could. Could there be any better metaphor for students' relationships at Wynchemna?Though Loons can fly, today we also did some driving, at the driving range, clubbing golf balls as far as we could. It was a little friendly competition out in the sun, before the big games at night.Casino Night. Where after just more than a week together, the Loons risks their friendships, gambling over Wynchem-money. The Loons plucked and shined their feathers, especially Kyle, the best dressed. Playing Bingo, Poker, Uno, and betting over Foosball, the Loons risked their money, to get more money. Money makes money, like smiles make smiles, but that was all wiped away in the auction. The big winners showed up, ready to claim their prizes. Though those without much money still had fun, because, as we all know, money's not the only object.[AFG_gallery id='639']
