Growling Grizzlies - July 7 2015 - Time to Bingo!

Today we had the perfect weather for the perfect day. It was sunny and warm enough for us to enjoy the outdoors but with a nice cool breeze which is perfect for baseball. First we learned how to throw and catch using a glove and then we put our batting skills to test. For some it was their first time batting everyone slugged the ball at least once! With enough practice they played a few friendly but very competitive games of baseball!After sweating themselves out on the field, they headed out to learn the ins and outs of paddling in the water at the Calgary Canoe Club. The Grizzlies took their time paddling around the lake, learning different strokes and worked up a big appetite for their scrumptious spaghetti dinner at Boston Pizza! After dinner, the Grizzlies got all dapper and dressed up for Casino Night. Casino night was the most fun yet and they got to play card games like Texas Hold’em and Blackjack and roulette for Wynchemna Dollars. With their hard earned play money, they got to auction for Canadian souvenirs like a Canada Goose and a Wynchemna sweater. It was loud, intense and everyone was ecstatic.Tomorrow we have an early start because we are headed to the long awaited CALGARY STAMPEDE![AFG_gallery id='253']
