July 22nd, 2016 - Chinook Mall and Rollerblading - Hissing Prairie Rattlesnakes

Today started with an early breakfast in our apartment breakfast groups. The teachers had a really fun activity planned for this morning; the students got to put on a newspaper clothing fashion show! In groups of ten, the students came up with a fashion brand name and made clothing like dresses, shirts, and pants out of recycled newspaper. Each group had one boy and one girl to model the clothing on the runway in the hall. The groups were 'Marthur's Secret,' 'South Gate,' 'Moscerino,' and 'Pretty Girls.' We played music, cheered for the models and took lots of silly pictures!After lunch at happy hut, we went to the Chinook mall and spent some time shopping before watching a movie at the Cinnaplex movie theater. We had the choice of seeing 'now you see me 2,' 'The Secret Life of Pets,' 'Finding Dory,' and 'Tarzan.' They were great!We had dinner in the cafeteria and then took the bus to a roller blade arena Lyoid's Recreation. It was very tricky but some students did very well. There was dancing music and colourful lights in the skating arena. We are getting to the end of our program.
