Laughing Sea Lions - August 2 2015 - Night Market & Lynn Canyon

Sunday August 2nd was one of the longest days so far for our Sea Lions. After a breakfast fit for champions we had our interesting English lessons such as a mock investigation of a stolen laptop. Students took the roles of detectives, suspects and victims. We had a quick lunch at the cafe an went to Lynn Canyon to  check out the world famous suspension bridge! After swaying over a canyon the group hiked down to wade in the cool waters of the canyon creek.After a swim we had dinner at Pita Pit to have a quick break before continuing our day. We headed out to Laser Tag where the Lion we split into two teams to face off in a futuristic phaser shoot out! It was exhilarating and everyone was winded after two intense rounds. But our day wasn’t over yet! To end off our night we headed to a Night Market which is a popular custom in Taiwan. There were many interesting new foods for the students to try and quirky merchandise for sale. It was a cool change for scenery for us.We finally got back to UBC for a shower and got all cleaned up for bed.
