Monarchs: July 16th Amazing Race

Today we played The Amazing Race: Monarchs Edition!The day started out with our lessons and lunch, and saved most of our energy for our afternoon racing around downtown Calgary.Between lessons, we had lunch at our buffet at SAIT; which included shrimp, rice noodles, finger foods, and as usual loads of fresh fruits and veggies.After our last lesson we headed out all together. As we approached downtown Calgary, we broke off into our three groups and the race was on!Our mission was to complete a list of tasks, which included taking a picture with someone walking a dog, obtaining a fortune cookie, and taking a picture with a bear. What's a 'plus 15'? Calgarians know, but apparently it wasn't something easy to explain. Well we had to take a picture in one!And boy did some of us get creative with these tasks!But that's not all! We had to make our way to some hotspots around Calgary: Olympic Square, Calgary Tower, Stephen Street...Needless to say, when we arrived at the Old Spaghetti Factory- tasks completed and smiling faces- our hearty spaghetti dinner, salad, and dessert, was well-earned!It was another active and momentous day for the Monarchs, and we can't wait to see what's in store for tomorrow![AFG_gallery id='622']
