The Singing Water Loons - 25 July 2017 - Kayak is Spelled the Same Backwards

Today our schedules shifted somewhat: instead of our usual run of morning lessons, after breakfast we bused down to the Glenmore Resevoir, to meet the Calgary Canoe Club for a morning paddle. Our Loons know their way through the water, so the kayak, much different from last week's canoe, proved no challenge. After a seal launch the Loons were off, feeling the Resevoir's cool morning breeze through their feathers. With no wind too strong, calm waters made for a relaxing start to our day. That all changed very quickly. Our Loons tried Football - American Football. The United States may have the bigger league, but Canada holds a longer history of loving the game. Though today was many of the Loon's first time trying, they gave it their all, and had a ball - a pointy,egg-shaped ball! After those morning activities and lunch together, the Loons had their lessons in the afternoon. They talked, debated, sung, laughed, and more - the classic Wynchemna day, just in reverse. Appropriate, since it was kayaking day, and kayak is spelled the same backwards.[AFG_gallery id='662']
