Today we had the Great Calgary Race - what is this a sports camp? No, we do ESL learning in the Rockies. Our Great Calgary Race race isn't about athleticism, it's about enthusiasm, creativity, and using English practically.Today, the Loons floated around downtown Calgary. Our students had to talk to locals to complete their challenges. The people populating this city sure proved open to spontaneous dancing, group photos, portrait drawing, and landmark directing. The Loons never had the chance to get lost, as locals always pointed them in the right direction. Our Loons raced from Mewata Armoury, to Millennium Skate Park, through Stephen Avenue, to City Hall, to Chinatown, over Loin's Head Bridge more. The students were rearing to go downtown, and boy did we take em! By the time we all arrived to the Ole Spaghetti factory, our students had so much to talk about. Afterwards, an evening home, along the Bow River and over the Peace Bridge, the students arrived home happy, having seen this great city![AFG_gallery id='671']
