Splashing Snapping Turtles - July 27th, 2017 - Canoeing and Baseball!

The Turtle's first day! Yay! We started in our breakfast rooms, where we met with our teachers and cooked up some delicious food like bacon and eggs. Once our stomachs were full, it was time for the English exam. Everybody put their English to the test as they answered some written and oral questions. After the exam, everybody was ready for lunch so we headed to Happy Hut-a scrumptious buffet-style lunch. Yummy! We ate lots of chicken, rice, vegetables and fruits!In the afternoon, it was time for some fun under the sun! We headed to the Calgary Canoe Club, where everybody paired off and grabbed a boat! It was many of the Turtle's first time, but you would never know it. Everybody learned how to paddle very quickly - even tricky steps such as steering! To follow canoeing, we played baseball! We started off by learning how to pass, and then worked our way up to a full-swinging game. It was so much fun!After our much enjoyed day of sports, we headed to the mall for dinner. We enjoyed Greek food and pitas. Heading back to SAIT after eating, we played some more get-to-know you games and shared many laughs over musical chairs and the human knot.
