Teacher Orientation 2017 - June 16 - Rock Climbing & Tent Games/T-Shirt Day

WE GOT TO SLEEP IN TODAY! Breakfast started us off the right way with delicious chocolate and blueberry muffins. After that we optimized our lessons and got to experience and learn from each other's teaching styles. We went over a wide-range of topics and themes to engage with our students coming to camp this year, from celebrating Canada's 150th anniversary, to creating funny sentences, the wildlife of Alberta, vocabulary for foodies, idioms, and lots more. After lunch, the Stronghold Rock Climbing Centre welcomed us to state of the art facilities, and we learned the ropes (pun intended). All the teachers climbed to the top, even the ones who were terrified of heights. We're so proud of them for trying something new and persevering. Many did the easier course and moved up to more difficult courses with bold determination and the odd slip of the foot. When we got back to campus, we found out who our tentmates were, and we got to make awesome T-shirt and cheers. The Beavers, the Elk and the Rams competed in the first 2017 Tent Games Extravaganza! We're so excited to head off to camp in Kananaskis tomorrow![AFG_gallery id='562']
