Thumping Snowshoe Hares - July 8th, 2017 - International Supper

Today we got to sleep in a little bit before our lessons started up. After a delicious breakfast, we learned some new food related vocabulary to use for the day and how to line dance.We promptly set out after our lunch and third lesson for the supermarket. Some of us got to go to the specialty German store to go get special sausage for international supper, some got to go to the Chinese cuisine shop for tofu and dumpling dough, and the rest got to experience shopping at our local Safeway. We loaded up our groceries and walked back to campus, ready to prepare some delicious meals.The head chefs of the groups taught the other students how to cook tacos, tiramisu, bubble tea and pasta, amongst other things. Everyone got to sample cuisines from other parts of the world and the food their friends at camp are used to eating.When everyone had eaten their fill and cleaned up the dishes and kitchens, we headed over to the basement of the other residence tower and sang our hearts out. Karaoke was a huge hit with the group, who got to watch their fellow students and even some teachers participate in singing their favourite songs.[AFG_gallery id='588']
