Vancouver - August 5 Grouse Grind

DSC_0197.jpg

Our students conquered the Grouse Grind today. It is a steep hiking trail that is 3km long and roughly an hour and a half hike up. It was a tough, but everyone worked hard to climb the hill. Once at the top the students all got to see the Grizzly Bears in the Wilderness Refuge area as well watch a video. The students also had lunch at the top of the mountain as they looked out to the beautiful view of the Greater Vancouver Area and the Pacific Ocean. What an unbelievable day... well worth the hike.Tomorrow we are off to Squamish, where the students will learn how to kite surf where the river meets the ocean. We are also off to the PNE, which is a large summer fair held near downtown. We also plan to do some last minute  shopping downtown Vancouver as our Road Trip students will be leaving us the next day.[AFG_gallery id='98']
