Vancouver - August 6 Kite Surfing, Fair, Shopping

Today we got up early for a trip up to Squamish where the students learnt the fundamentals of kite surfing. Some students even managed to get off the ground with their kite. Afterwards, we drove to the Amusement Park (PNE) near downtown Vancouver. The highlight for many students was going on the wooden roller coaster, and swinging on the gianormous swing set that took you soaring around in the sky. Following the amusement park, we shopped downtown for an hour before a fabulous last dinner with our road trip students who will be leaving us tomorrow. We have made so many fabulous memories with all of them. We have all gotten so close during their time in Canada... it will be difficult to say good bye to them tomorrow.Tomorrow, the students will be either preparing for our trip off into the mountains, or they will be packing for their long journey home. It will be a nice relaxing day in Vancouver as we try to make the most of the short time we have together in this beautiful city.[AFG_gallery id='99']
