Whispering Northern Raccoons - August 3rd 2017 - Shopping and New Friends!

Today's day started off in our breakfast rooms where we made some delicious food to energize us for the day. Then, it was time for some English lessons where we broadened our knowledge of English vocabulary with fun activities and exercises! Following our lessons, we headed to Happy Hut to fill our bellies with noodles, chicken, and vegetables.Then, the Raccoons headed downtown for some good old fashioned shopping! Everybody's arms became heavy with shopping bags as they started to explore all the new stores. At the end of the afternoon, people had purchased lots of clothes and knick-knacks to bring back home.In the meanwhile, new students were arriving at SAIT. They were welcomed by the teachers who showed them to their rooms and then tested their English! The apartments were buzzing with excitement as the students settled into their apartments and got to know one another.As the evening rolled in, it consisted of mingling between all the students during a delicious dinner. Then, we headed outside for soccer and name-games. To finish the night off, we played an intense round of board games together. It was the perfect end to a great day![AFG_gallery id='711']
