Whistling Sea Otters - Grouse Mountain Hike - August 2 2014
Today was beautiful and sunny, just like every day in Vancouver so far! We began the day with breakfast groups, lessons, and lunch, and then headed to Grouse Mountain for a hike! The trail was only 2.9 kilometres, but it was steep and challenging.
We all made it to the top in time to witness the fabulous views from the mountain and visit the two bears who live at the top, found abandoned as cubs and raised in a refuge. Those who still had energy left after the hike went to the beach for dinner and watched some fireworks, and those who were ready for a hot shower and some relaxation headed back home for exactly that. We will all sleep well tonight!
